How do I choose the right projector for my needs?

Optoma offers a range of projectors designed for various purposes, ensuring there’s one that fits your needs perfectly.
What is the difference between DLP and LCD projectors?
DLP (Digital Light Processing) projectors use a chip with thousands of tiny mirrors to reflect light and produce images, offering high contrast ratios and smooth images. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors use three LCD panels to create images, offering bright, accurate colors. Both technologies have their strengths, so the choice depends on your specific needs and preferences.
Can I connect my projector to my smartphone or tablet?
Yes, many of our projectors offer connectivity options for smartphones and tablets, including wireless and HDMI connections. This allows you to easily mirror your device’s screen or play content directly from your mobile device.
How long do projector lamps last, and are they easy to replace?
The lifespan of a projector lamp varies depending on usage and the projector model but typically ranges from 2,000 to 10,000 hours. Replacing the lamp is usually a simple process that can be done by following the instructions in the projector’s manual. Optoma offers replacement lamps for all our projector models.

How do I set up my projector?
Setting up your projector is easy and typically involves connecting it to a power source, connecting your video source (such as a laptop or Blu-ray player), adjusting the focus and keystone correction, and positioning the projector for the desired image size. Detailed setup instructions can be found in the projector’s manual.
Can I use a projector in a brightly lit room?
